a little about me.....
I have enjoyed taking pictures since I received a camera from my Dad for Christmas as a young girl. Pictures were important as extended family lived in the Chicago area while my family lived near Fort Bragg, North Carolina where Dad served in the US Army. Having film developed was a luxury, so picture taking was limited. With the advent of digital photography, a whole new world opened up to pursue great images without the expense of developing. At the encouragement of friends, I began showing my photography at art shows. Many of my photographs were taken right outside my home.
why I love taking pictures...
Whether on a hike, on a trip, or at a special celebration with friends or family, I try to notice what’s around me and take in the memories of that place and time. I love to capture images and share those moments with others, or commemorate a milestone event. We can’t take for granted that even the small, simple and common will be seen again. In our fast-paced world, it’s important to stop, be still and pay attention to life. Friends tell me I’m a good photographer; I’d rather say I have amazing things to take pictures of. I’m thankful that I’m here to take them, and thankful to the Creator of all things beautiful for helping me to stop and see them.
